Pai Gow, which uses domino tiles instead of poker cards, is the original casino game in which Pai Gow Poker was derived from.

Pai Gow is played by 2 to 8 participants, one of them play as the banker. Each participant is dealt 4 tiles, from a deck of 32 tiles. Each player has to decide on the strategy as of how to divide the 4 tiles into two hands of 2 tiles to create a high hand and a second-high hand. The two hands will then be compared with those of the bankers. The player wins the bet only if both hands have a higher value than those of the bankers. The player loses the bet if both hands have a lower value than those of the bankers. It is a push if the player wins one hand and loses the other hand.

Decide on how to structure your high hand and your second-high hand to win the banker. Should you place stronger tiles in your second-high hand, at the expense of a weaker high hand? Or should you choose to give up on the second-high hand and just rely on a super strong high hand?

If you like Pai Gow Poker, you will also like Pai Gow - the original game.

Play this ancient game on your iPhone or iPod Touch.

Enjoy the game!

New update: You can access your iPod music library from within the game, and play your own favorite music as the background music!

Pros and cons of Pai Gow app for iPhone and iPad

Pai Gow app good for

This game has been anticipated ever since the App store opened for true Pai Gow players..Thank you for this game, sound effects maybe or dice cup in the future? Otherwise a solid title.
Agreeing with others on this app. It is a nice game but lacks a few things, though I am sure it can be added. If so, this would be a killer training app as this game is so hard to comprehend if you are not familiar with the rankings. Would like to see a tutorial mode, Set House way button, Banker option and dice. More appropriate sound effects would be a plus since pounding of the dice cup is natural. Thanks for the app. I have enjoyed it.

Some bad moments

This app lacks features, options, artistic design and, worst of all, a decent Pai Gow tiles engine. Im wondering how it ever got approved for sale on iTunes. New tiles players hoping to improve their knowledge of the game should look elsewhere. As a free app, this would have been a curiosity. At $1.99, its a disappointment.
This app was very disappointing. It has no options what so ever and the ai set the tiles like it dont know how to play at times.
Save your money. Youll be frustrated attempting to even trying this.
I downloaded this when it was free and for the money at the time it was ok...bit no more than that. Agreeing with most of the other posts, the functionality needs to be built to allow for the maximum number of players, you should be able to dictate your bet amount, and there should be a display showing the tile name and/or rank. If the app were free, Id suggest it... But Id shy from making the suggestion with any more than the nominal fee of $.99
Beware... This app is NOT up to date. This app wont even open on my 6+. Shameful that Apple makes developers jump through hopes to get their free apps placed in the store, but this failed paid app is able to plod along collecting fees for "literally" nothing. BOO!
